Hoists, tirfors and accessories

The Fershop range of hoists, pulleys, and accessories is a comprehensive selection of professional equipment designed to provide maximum lifting and traction force, allowing you to move and position enormous loads safely and with pinpoint precision. It is based on a concept of mechanical efficiency and force multiplication , where high-precision gear systems, reinforced levers, and steel cables allow you to control otherwise immovable industrial weights.

Here are the fundamental pillars of this technology:

The power of continuous traction: The heart of the system is the engineering of the clamping mechanisms (in the Tirfors) and the calibrated chains (in the hoists), capable of developing tons of pulling and lifting with minimal effort on the part of the operator.

  • Millimeter precision: Both chain hoists and wire rope winches allow for absolute control of the load, enabling millimeter-accurate lifting and lowering, ideal for assembling machinery or structures.
  • Multidirectional traction: Unlike vertical systems, through-wire pullers (such as Tirfor) can work in any direction – vertical, horizontal or inclined – offering unlimited versatility of use on construction sites or in forestry work.
  • Intrinsic safety against overload: Equipped with advanced safety systems, such as the breakable safety pins in the Tirfors or the automatic pressure brakes in the hoists, which instantly block the load in the event of excessive strain.
  • Construction-grade robustness: Structures made of high-strength steel or aluminum alloys, protected against corrosion and impacts, designed to last over time even in the most severe environmental conditions.

The main categories.

At fershop we cover every aerial lifting and traction need with solutions from the best leading brands in the sector (such as Tractel and Fervi ):

  • Manual Chain and Lever Hoists: Compact and robust devices, ideal for workshops and carpentry shops, which allow heavy loads to be lifted vertically with extreme ease thanks to extremely high-resistance steel chains.
  • Winches and Tirfors (Through-Wire Pullers): The original Tractel machines (such as the legendary T508, T516 and T532 models ), true world references for lifting and pulling through-wire ropes of unlimited lengths, essential for the construction, rescue and forestry sectors.
  • Accessories and Trolleys: A complete line of beam clamps, anchor clamps, and hoist trolleys for safely moving loads along double-I beams.

🌟 General advantages:

Original and certified components: Special steel ropes with compacted strands, calibrated chains and forged hooks with safety locks to ensure maximum reliability under stress.

Passive mechanical safety systems: Instant-action automatic brakes that hold the load perfectly in position as soon as the lever or operating chain is released.

Easy transport and installation: Compact design and optimised overall weight allow for quick anchoring and immediate commissioning directly on the job site.

Saving time and money: A single person can move loads that would otherwise require cranes or heavy equipment, optimizing work times and drastically reducing operating costs.

FAQ - FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS.

What is the difference between the lifting capacity and the pulling capacity of a Tirfor?

Absolutely not. Tirfor through-wire pullers work with internal jaws that grip the rope with millimeter-precise pressure. Using non-original ropes or ropes with a different diameter/flexibility can cause the load to slip or cause the internal mechanisms to jam. Always use the original Tractel ropes supplied with the machine.

How does the safety pin work in Tirfor models?

The safety pin (located on the operating lever) is designed as a true "mechanical fuse." If you attempt to lift a load that significantly exceeds the maximum capacity of the machine, the pin intentionally breaks. This locks the mechanism, holding the load securely, preventing tipping or damage to the main structure of the puller. The pins are easy to replace, and you'll always find spares in the lever handle.

What is the difference between a traditional manual chain hoist and a lever-operated one?

The traditional hoist is suspended overhead and operated from the ground by pulling a looped chain; it's ideal for purely vertical lifting. The lever (or traction) hoist , on the other hand, is operated directly by pulling a lever integrated into the machine body; it's much more compact and perfect for working in tight spaces, tensioning cables, or for diagonal/horizontal pulling.

Can the ropes and chains of the hoists be lengthened as desired?

While through-wire pullers (such as Tirfor) can use any length of original rope (20, 30, 50 meters, or more) because the rope passes through the machine without twisting, manual chain hoists have a fixed length determined during manufacturing (generally 3 or 5 meters). For safety reasons, it's not possible to "splice" or lengthen the chain yourself; if you need to reach greater heights, you must order a model with a factory-assembled calibrated chain of the desired length.

Can I leave the load hanging from the hoist for a long time (for example, overnight)?

Although hoists have very safe brakes that automatically lock the load, it's always inadvisable to leave a heavy load hanging unattended for long periods of time. Hoists are used for lifting and moving; once you've reached the required height, if you're working on extended projects, always place fixed supports (such as sturdy sawhorses) under the load for complete peace of mind.
