EASY AND SAFE TENSIONING. The lateral chain tensioner allows for quick, easy, and safe chain tensioning and replacement. The tensioning screw is operated from the side through the sprocket cover.

WORK RELIABLELY WITH BEST PERFORMANCE. Thanks to the STIHL M-Tronic system, you can get the best performance from your tool right from the start. The fully electronic engine management system adjusts the ignition timing and fuel metering in all operating conditions, taking into account external factors such as temperature, altitude, and fuel quality.

CUTTING DEPTH ADJUSTMENT. Using the cutting depth limiter with quick-release chain tensioner, the cutting depth can be infinitely adjusted up to approximately 20 cm. This operation can be performed quickly and easily, even when wearing gloves.

LONGER FILTER LIFE. Pre-filtering removes coarse and large particles from the airflow before they reach the filter itself. The HD2 filter also keeps fine dust away from the engine, ensuring a long engine life, extended cleaning intervals, and easier maintenance of the chainsaw. Only if the chainsaw is equipped with pre-filtering and an HD2 filter can it be considered a long-lasting air filtration system. This system, in fact, allows for a significantly longer filter life than traditional air filtration systems.

SAFE GRIP. The sturdy tubular circular handle allows you to guide the chainsaw reliably and efficiently even with limited freedom of movement.

REDUCED MAINTENANCE. Through pressure compensation, a regulation system inside the carburetor called a compensator, ensures that despite increasing air filter contamination, engine power, exhaust gas quality, and fuel consumption remain virtually constant over a long period of time. Therefore, it will be necessary to clean the air filter only when a noticeable decrease in performance is noticed. This allows for extended periods of maintenance-free operation.

QUICK AND EASY OPENING AND CLOSING. Thanks to the tool-free opening and closing cap, the oil and fuel tanks can be opened and closed in just a few simple steps thanks to the bayonet closure.

REDUCED OIL CONSUMPTION. The STIHL Ematic system consists of the STIHL Ematic or Ematic S guide bar and the STIHL Oilomatic chain. It ensures that the chain oil reaches where it's needed for lubrication. This can reduce oil consumption by up to 50%. If you often work in dusty environments or use longer guide bars, the new oil pump system allows you to quickly and easily increase the amount of oil at any time.

EFFORTLESS STARTING. The decompression valve makes starting the device easier. During starting, some of the compressed mixture can be released from the cylinder by opening the valve. This protects the starting system and reduces the force required on the starter cord.

EASY TO USE. Only one start position is required on the combination lever. After switching off, the control lever automatically returns to the operating position thanks to the stop function. If the engine is still warm, it can be restarted directly.

EXTREMELY ENERGY-EFFICIENT. The STIHL 2-Mix engine not only reduces exhaust emissions, but also fuel consumption and the resulting operating costs. This 2-stroke engine requires little maintenance and uses fuel efficiently even at high performance. The fuel is a mixture of gasoline and engine oil. The STIHL 2-Mix engine complies with the stringent European Stage V emissions directive.

Thanks to modern technology, the use of lightweight materials, and a compact design, this device has a particularly low power-to-weight ratio. This allows for particularly energy-efficient operation without sacrificing high performance.
