The AP 100 battery is part of the professional STIHL AP System . It is compatible with all machines in the AP range (such as FSA brush cutters, HSA and HLA hedge trimmers, MSA chainsaws, BGA blowers, and HTA pruners). However, it cannot be used with products from the AK System hobby line.
How long does the charge last and what is the battery life?
Battery life varies depending on the tool connected and the intensity of the work (for example, approximately 15-30 minutes of continuous work on chainsaws or brush cutters and up to 60-80 minutes on hedge trimmers). Lithium-ion technology guarantees up to 1,200 full charge cycles without significant performance loss.
Which chargers can I use to charge the AP 100 and how long does it take?
It is compatible with all chargers in the STIHL professional line: AL 101, AL 301 and AL 500. With a quick charger (such as the AL 301 or AL 500) a full charge takes about 30-45 minutes, while with the AL 101 it takes about 90 minutes.
Can I recharge the battery even if it is not completely flat?
Absolutely. The latest-generation lithium-ion cells used by STIHL do not suffer from the memory effect. You can charge the AP 100 battery at any time, even for partial charges, without risking damage or reducing its lifespan.
