Its compact dimensions make it ideal especially for jobs to be carried out in limited space. Nonetheless, it achieves a gripping capacity on pipes up to 1 ½ inch or 42 mm in diameter, as well as on nuts up to an opening of 36 mm.
For pipes, nuts, sleeves, for the most varied types of pieces: the professional user positions the Knipex Cobra pliers quickly and precisely with a single manoeuvre. The spring-loaded pivot pin snaps into place, locking the caliper securely without inadvertent movement. Thanks to the fine adjustment in 18 positions, the Knipex Cobra 87 01 180 pliers can be optimally adjusted to various workpiece sizes. This fine adjustment also ensures the user a comfortable grip in every opening position.
The Knipex Cobra pliers are further stabilized by the pass-through hinge. Unlike pliers with supported hinges, no unbalancing forces occur in this pliers. The handles stabilize each other in the joint.
The Knipex Cobra pliers locks independently on the workpiece thanks to the special jaw geometry developed by Knipex. This allows the user to apply his own strength to perform the desired movement without having to press to close the handles, therefore without losses.
